Spirit week, homecoming court, homecoming game, pep rally, and let's not forget the homecoming dance, is what many students look forward to. Homecoming is a week full of excitement. Are you ready?!
Spirit week is the week of dressing up and having fun throughout the whole school. This week is to show how much school spirit us Truckers have. Monday, we should dress as old people or babies; this is called “Canes and Cradles.” Tuesday is Character/Celebrity Day. Wednesday is Twin Day. Thursday is Throwback Day. Friday is Spirit Day, which is when you wear your best orange and black to show your Trucker pride.
The homecoming court consists of fellow CHS students running to be Mr. and Ms. Freshman, Mr. and Ms. Sophomore, Prince and Princess, and Homecoming King and Queen. All students can vote for people in their class. The people running put up
posters, post on social media, and pass out things that they know would win their vote.
The homecoming game and the pep rally are very exciting. Pep rallies are made to hype up students for the Friday night game. We all get a whiff of excitement seeing our football players play their hearts out on the field. The bleachers are filled with students, parents, and teachers cheering on the mighty Truckers.
Not having a homecoming dance is long overdue. We are finally bringing it back. It’s a dance that all students can attend. The theme has an 80’s vibe and I hope we are all looking forward to it.
